TECHNICAL INFORMATION - CABRIO Body
Preparation Remove
front hood, rear hatch, front fenders, headlights, taillights, rear quarter
glass, front & rear bumper cover, bumper & re-bar remain. Rockers are
opened up on each side & steel beams are welded in to give the unibody
strength before the roof is cut off. Now you can cut off the roof and you're
ready to start building. Front
Clip & Hood The
front clip is one piece to achieve a nice seamless look. Once the headlights are
installed, the front clip is bolted onto the stock mounting points. Hood bolts
to existing Honda hinges, & uses the stock latches. Doors
& Skirts Doors
consist of fibre glass panels that are bonded onto existing doors. All hinges,
handles, latches, and window glass remain intact. Skirts are separate pieces
that are bonded onto existing rockers and into door jams. Rear
Clip & Trunk Once
the roof is cut off, the rear clip is bonded onto existing, but now shaved down
rear section of the car. There is a separate trunk that has custom hinges, but
uses the stock Civic latches. Building
time is approximately 100 hours for a builder with average mechanical skills. PICTURES TO COME SOON TECHNICAL INFORMATION -
